Por eso, la fibra de coco puede ser usada en la mayor\u00eda de los cultivos, como los incluidos en la horticultura de consumo y ornamental.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Conocer las caracter\u00edsticas f\u00edsicas del sustrato es vital para saber la disponibilidad de aire y agua en el sistema radicular de las plantas. Para nosotros es primordial dar importancia a la investigaci\u00f3n de diferentes composiciones de fibra de coco<\/strong>, haciendo \u00e9nfasis en las caracter\u00edsticas h\u00eddricas y granulom\u00e9tricas, y complementando la mezcla con evaluaciones agron\u00f3micas.[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_empty_space][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row css_animation=\u00bb\u00bb row_type=\u00bbrow\u00bb use_row_as_full_screen_section=\u00bbno\u00bb type=\u00bbgrid\u00bb angled_section=\u00bbno\u00bb text_align=\u00bbleft\u00bb background_image_as_pattern=\u00bbwithout_pattern\u00bb z_index=\u00bb\u00bb][vc_column width=\u00bb1\/2&#8243;][vc_single_image image=\u00bb3364&#8243; img_size=\u00bblarge\u00bb alignment=\u00bbcenter\u00bb qode_css_animation=\u00bb\u00bb][\/vc_column][vc_column width=\u00bb1\/2&#8243;][vc_column_text]En el sustrato de fibra de coco podemos distinguir tres fases: <strong>la fase s\u00f3lida<\/strong>, constituida por el material que conforman las part\u00edculas; <strong>la fase gaseosa<\/strong>, que representa el aire contenido en el sustrato, y<strong> la fase l\u00edquida<\/strong>, integrada por el agua y las sustancias disueltas. La fase l\u00edquida requiere de especial atenci\u00f3n ya que de ella depende que el sustrato disponga de un reservorio de agua disponible para la planta.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>El tama\u00f1o de los poros condiciona la aireaci\u00f3n y la retenci\u00f3n de agua del sustrato. Los poros m\u00e1s grandes est\u00e1n ocupados por aire, mientras que los m\u00e1s peque\u00f1os por agua. En consecuencia, <strong>cualquier acci\u00f3n que reduzca los poros m\u00e1s grandes, disminuye la cantidad de aire del sustrato aumentando la capacidad de retenci\u00f3n de agua.<\/strong> Una situaci\u00f3n que puede limitar el correcto desarrollo de los cultivos. A este respecto, <strong>los valores aceptables para la capacidad de aireaci\u00f3n y de retenci\u00f3n de agua depender\u00e1n del tipo de cultivo al que vaya destinado el sustrato<\/strong>, adem\u00e1s del nivel de cualificaci\u00f3n t\u00e9cnica y tipo de infraestructura.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row css_animation=\u00bb\u00bb row_type=\u00bbrow\u00bb use_row_as_full_screen_section=\u00bbno\u00bb type=\u00bbfull_width\u00bb angled_section=\u00bbno\u00bb text_align=\u00bbleft\u00bb background_image_as_pattern=\u00bbwithout_pattern\u00bb][vc_column][vc_empty_space][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row css_animation=\u00bb\u00bb row_type=\u00bbrow\u00bb use_row_as_full_screen_section=\u00bbno\u00bb type=\u00bbgrid\u00bb angled_section=\u00bbno\u00bb text_align=\u00bbleft\u00bb background_image_as_pattern=\u00bbwithout_pattern\u00bb z_index=\u00bb\u00bb][vc_column width=\u00bb1\/2&#8243;][vc_column_text]Los cuatros gr\u00e1ficos de la figura 1 responden a diferentes sustratos de fibra de coco en cuanto a su composici\u00f3n granulom\u00e9trica. El equipo t\u00e9cnico de Projar ha dise\u00f1ado estos sustratos para satisfacer y dar respuesta a la situaci\u00f3n particular de cada cultivo y del nivel de cualificaci\u00f3n t\u00e9cnica.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Conociendo las curvas de retenci\u00f3n de humedad de cada sustrato se puede determinar el punto de tensi\u00f3n donde los porcentajes de aire y agua se igualan, indicando as\u00ed el comportamiento de cada sustrato. <strong>Los sustratos presentan una elevada porosidad superior al 90%, lo que significa que existe una aireaci\u00f3n suficiente compatible con una elevada retenci\u00f3n de humedad.<\/strong> Adem\u00e1s, podemos observar que la capacidad de aireaci\u00f3n para cada sustrato, a bajas tensiones (10 cm) es superior al 20%, y por tanto, adecuada. Esto indica que cuanto mayor es la tensi\u00f3n donde se igualan las curvas de aire y agua, mayor capacidad tiene el sustrato.
